Violins can be played in Indian Melodies. But maybe they can change the name of it so that everyone can clearly see that its Indian Violin or Western Violin.

yes,because the music of indian and western music are about the same. both different music has some similarity in it, e.g. the tabla is like a drum and many many more. it is only the name of the indian instrument are differntly named as the western instrument.
