Danny Boy

Compare the following versions and describe the differences:
a) King Singers
b) Andy Williams
c) Declan Galbraith
d) George Benson (Solo Guitar)

Here are the opening lines:
Oh Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountainside.
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying.
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow,
For I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow.
Oh Danny Boy, oh Danny Boy, I love you so.

My other pick would be the one sung by Andy Williams as its was kind of rhythmic and faster counts but yet still slow and less improvisary. Who knew one song could be played in many different ways? Enjoyed my time listening to it.

Ive compared Declan's version to the King Singers,
The tempo in Declan's version was slightly much more faster than the King Singers, both their Rhythm are steady,Both melodies were stepwise, their articulation...still both are Legato, as for their Texture, the King Singers texture is Homophonic while Declan's is polyphonic...good song guys...
